1. Enhancing the Christian experience and ethos: Our heart is in offering a Christian-led approach through our staff and programmes. We will continue our focus in welcoming all guests and groups including churches, missions and colleges to uniquely experience opportunities for learning and personal growth through our programme of conferences and events.
    

2. Wellbeing and employment development for women: Women are core to the objectives of the YWCA. New programmes at Coolnagreina will aim to enrich the lives of women in need and we will also seek to develop employment opportunities for those needing refuge.
    

3. Creating innovative, customised programmes: A range of innovative services including team-building programmes and service-learning approaches will be available. We will regularly provide administered programmes through resident leaders and external experts. These programmes will focus on being insightful and practical and can be general or bespoke in design.
    

4. Expanding local community connections: The local Greystones community is undergoing extensive change due to its proximity to Dublin. New communities are developing and we want to respond by providing extended learning and recreational services. We will offer additional space for local organisations such as charity events and community activities such as art classes, music facilities and facilities for local school groups. We will particularly focus on engaging with, and developing programmes for, the local youth.
    

5. Increasing international relevance: Coolnagreina is proud of its past appeal for international events and organisations such as the Special Olympics and Volunteer Services International. Networking with many other groups from across the world have also been a key objective. Coolnagreina strives to continue this and to become a key learning centre for the growing international population of the area.
    

6. Increasing Irish relevance: The welcoming atmosphere and programmes will also engage the local user of Coolnagreina. Our refreshing location and the beauty of our natural environs particularly appeal to the outdoors, exploring guest who simply wants a place to stay while having a challenging but restorative experience.

In view of the memorable experiences of previous guests, and the reassurance and trust conveyed by the YWCA’s commitment and ethos, the 'improved' Coolnagreina will achieve even greater connection and enjoyment for those who experience it in the future.
